Establishing Factors to Consider While Adopting the Agile Approach in Manufacturing Companies

Due to the current fast-paced business environment, new approaches product development (PD) have been requested. In that matter, agile approach has gained interest among researchers and practitioners. Based on its positive results in software industry, it started be adopted manufacturing industry. Nevertheless, there are factors companies must consider while adopting approach, is a lack of in-depth empirical studies about those factors. this paper presents preliminary findings single case study large company. The data collection consisted fifteen semi-structured interviews with persons key roles different organizational functions. identified were analyzed presented according system (PDS) perspective which encompasses people, process, technology tools subsystems.
